Well... its new years eve, and what a great day to announce that I have finished my fundraising!! Thanks to everyone who has helped me raise money for this opportunity.
Its now only 5 days until I leave.. I can safely say that 50% of my bedroom floor space is covered in various packing piles. I just hope they all fit in my rucksack. Im quite torn between taking clothes that look nice, and ones that are more practical. The area of Malaysia that I will be living in is more Muslim than other areas of the country, therefore I am not certain of what clothes are acceptable outside of school. Im sure I will learn in my first few weeks, and maybe buy a few things out there!
Still, packing is making me feel excited. I received a few essentials for Christmas, including a travel washing line (!) and wind up torch. I have been raiding my friends iTunes libraries, trying to stock up my music supply to last me 8 months.
I'll keep this entry short, as I still have lots to do before I go out for tonight's celebrations. Happy new year to you all!
